Our Story

Built to Solve a Problem That Matters

Asia's critical infrastructure runs on diesel backup power. Veylanta was founded to change that with a liquid-hydrogen platform engineered from the ground up as one integrated system.

Mission

Reliable, Low-Emission Power - Wherever the Grid Falls Short

Veylanta's mission is to make liquid hydrogen a practical, deployable energy source for the data centres, telecom networks, hospitals, ports, and industrial sites that cannot afford to wait for the grid.

01
Integration Over Assembly

We engineer subsystems to work together, not as a collection of components from separate vendors, but as one coordinated platform with a single intelligence layer.

02
Engineering Rigour

Every design decision is grounded in thermodynamics, safety engineering, and real-world deployment constraints. We do not cut corners on the science.

03
Asia-First Thinking

We are building for the markets where the need is greatest and the opportunity is largest - Japan, South Korea, and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

04
Long-Term Partnerships

We seek customers, partners, and investors who share a long-term view on energy infrastructure, not short-term transactions.

Company History

From U.S. Research to an Asian Platform

Veylanta's origins trace to deep technical work on hydrogen and electrochemical systems in the United States. The company was founded in 2026 to bring its platform toward Asia's critical-power market, where the combination of grid constraints, net-zero mandates, and maturing liquid-hydrogen supply chains creates a structural opportunity.

2025
U.S. Alpha Development

A gaseous-hydrogen PEM fuel-cell and battery Alpha prototype was developed in the United States through Agami Zero, Inc. This demonstrated fuel-cell and battery integration at Alpha scale - a foundation for the full liquid-hydrogen platform.

2025
U.S. IP Filing

A U.S. provisional patent application was filed for a liquid-hydrogen-powered modular energy delivery system - establishing priority on the integrated approach to cryogenic storage, boil-off management, CHP-assisted vaporization, and supervisory control.

2026
Veylanta Founded

Veylanta was founded to develop and commercialize integrated liquid-hydrogen energy delivery systems for Asian and international markets, building on the founder's prior research, prototype development, and IP.

2026 - Current
Engineering Development

Current work focuses on liquid-hydrogen storage integration, boil-off management, CHP-assisted vaporization, hydrogen conditioning, fuel-cell integration, system controls, safety engineering, and pilot economics.

2026–2027 - Next
Customer-Backed Pilot

Complete site feasibility, engineering validation, hydrogen supply planning, system integration, and the first customer-backed pilot configuration in Asia.

Founder

Jafar Makrani — Founder, Veylanta
Jafar Makrani
Founder & CEO

Jafar Makrani founded Veylanta to bring an integrated liquid-hydrogen energy platform to the markets that need it most. He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, with a focus on clean energy systems, electrochemical energy conversion, and applied thermodynamics, and a B.Eng. (Hons) in Automotive Engineering from Coventry University.

Through Agami Zero, Inc., Jafar co-founded a deep-tech hydrogen venture, developed a working gaseous-hydrogen fuel-cell and battery Alpha prototype, filed a U.S. provisional patent for a liquid-hydrogen-powered modular energy delivery system, and helped secure a $127,500 first-place Lab Venture Challenge award. He has also worked as a Project Controls Engineer at Samuel Engineering on energy and industrial projects, and earlier as a Transmission & Driveline Testing and Development Engineer at FEV Europe in Aachen and Michigan, supporting global OEM programs for Audi, Mercedes-Benz, and Jaguar Land Rover.

Jafar brings together technical depth in hydrogen systems, electrochemistry, and thermodynamics with hands-on experience in venture building, commercialization, and engineering execution - a combination he is now applying to Veylanta's Asia-market mission.

Where We Operate

Asia-Focused Operations

Veylanta is establishing its operational base in Asia, targeting the data centre, telecom, and industrial markets the platform is designed to serve. Asia's position as the fastest-growing region for energy infrastructure, its maturing hydrogen ecosystem, and its regulatory environment make it the natural home for Veylanta's first commercial operations.
